PMKVY is a government program designed to boost the Indian economy by providing employment skills and knowledge to young people in India.This program was initiated by the Department of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The main purpose of PMKVY is to cover 10 million young people between 2016 and 2020. This program is basically a skills certification program designed to allow many Indian youth to participate in industrial vocational training.This certification helps them make a better livelihood and thus boost the Indian economy.
India is a developing country with 22% of its population living below the poverty line. Therefore, PMKVY is a government initiative aimed at developing skills for people focused on increasing income and growth. The program includes qualifications for well-educated people. B. Short Term Training


Under PMKVY, there are different training centers in different areas to train young people. This training includes business training, entrepreneurship training, soft skills development, and financial and digital literacy. The training provided helps many unemployed and school or school dropouts find a job and lead a better life. Training programs are covered by the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF). The duration of the training program within this program is between 150 and 300 hours.

RPL is another compelling component of PMKVY.
PMKVY issues a certificate recognizing an individual’s previous learning experience.

The conditions for the special project are slightly different from the short-term training courses for all involved.
